Melbourne Storm has had the special honour of being Victoria’s only professional Rugby League team since 1998, and is one of the most supported and successful teams in the country.
The Storm has a long-standing relationship with Melbourne & Olympic Parks, having called AAMI Park home since it opened in 2010, and having previously played home games at the old Olympic Park Stadium.
Retired Storm legends Billy Slater and 12-year captain Cameron Smith are immortalised in bronze at AAMI Park, Slater having scored 190 tries during his career, and Smith holding the record for the most NRL games played (430).
The club has an impressive record having only missed making the NRL finals three times in 24 years, having played in four of the last six grand finals, claiming the premiership in 2017 and 2020. Each year the Storm host several sell-out games, most notably their annual ANZAC Day match against the NZ Warriors.
