The Melbourne Rebels made their Super Rugby debut at their home ground, AAMI Park, in 2011.
As the fifteenth team added to the Super Rugby roster, which over time has included teams from Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa, the Rebels have played thirteen seasons to date.
From 2022, Super Rugby will welcome two new teams from the Pacific – Fijian Drua and Moana Pacifica.
AAMI Park, Melbourne’s iconic home of rectangular sports, is home to the Melbourne Rebels men’s Super Rugby team, which includes several Wallabies and international level players including Jordan Uelese, Matt To-omua and Reece Hodge.
Since 2018, Melbourne Rebels has also fielded a team in Super W, Australia’s domestic national women’s Rugby Union competition, who regularly play home games at AAMI Park as well.
